Wellspring Alberta (Edmonton House)
Wellspring Edmonton provides a warm, welcoming environment where anyone affected by cancer can focus on non-medical needs, whether they are emotional, practical, physical or spiritual.
Wellspring Edmonton offers unique workshops, classes and individual support services. These programs are offered at no cost and delivered by professionals and trained volunteers – many of whom have gone through their own experience with cancer. These courses are available both in-person and online.
Caregivers Alberta
Caregivers Alberta is the first and only dedicated caregiver organization in Alberta. They strive to empower caregivers and promote their well-being by providing group and one-on-one supports, increasing community capacity to better support caregivers, and advocate on behalf of caregivers.
Cross Cancer Institute - Psychosocial Services
This service provides free counselling and support for cancer patients and their family members. They are available to help you and your family cope with the stress that often comes with a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Taking care of your emotional, social, spiritual and practical well-being is an important part of your treatment plan and coping. Located at Westmount Shopping Mall in Edmonton.
Prostate Edmonton Peer Support Society (PEPSS)
This group meets monthly to help prostate cancer patients and their families through peer support. Members share their experiences on their cancer journey and provide encouragement, understanding, information and hope for each other. Meetings often have guest speakers discussing pertinent topics and the newest treatments available.
